Glory House will be relocating to a larger home in Wake County during the late summer in 2003. The new location is larger and will provide refuge to a greater number of women, but requires renovation. Beginning December 1, 2002, Glory House announced its efforts to raise $130,000 to renovate our new home. Scheduled renovations will cover the arduous task of reincorporating three efficiency apartments—currently located on the lower-level, basement area of the home—into a larger, group-style home. Smaller renovations to the interior are also on the schedule and include tasks like repainting, re-carpeting, mending mars, and the like. We also have a thorough cleaning scheduled prior to relocating our residents. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Improve your community through generosity. Glory House has taken the first step in offering refuge and a new chance in life to our residents; the surrounding community is our extended family and support system. By investing in a better, stronger Glory House, you are investing in a better, stronger community future. For more information on making donations to the Glory House, please read over the Donations link on our Web site. Strengthen the lives of those you touch by guaranteeing that programs like Glory House can succeed. We survive solely on donations and grants. We need your help.
